Congratulation to high school students, Eriyah Goosby and Malia McShane Langston, for being selected for Fortyx80's LAUNCH Program. LAUNCH integrates the Becoming Athena leadership curriculum with the Birkman method, interactive resume and portfolio development, and professional female mentors working in STEM. Through their engagement, our participants experience growth as leaders and exit the program prepared to create positive changes in their chosen career path.

Congratulations to Cornell High School social studies teacher, Mrs. Amy Palo for being selected to attend the digital George Washington Teacher Institute. The Great Experiment: George Washington and the Founding of the U.S. Government is a residential program, but due to COVID-19 precautions it will be conducted remotely. Mrs. Palo will learn from diverse primary sources, including artwork, place, and documents, that highlight the complexities of a man who embraced his responsibilities as a citizen, and whose contemporaries looked to for leadership.
