BrightArrow (Parent Communication System)
Cornell School District partners with a company called BrightArrow to deliver important information to families through voice, email, and text messaging.
Parents / Guardians have the opportunity to sign up for electronic notifications (including voice, email, and text messages) when they initially register their child for school and at the beginning of each school year when they review the registration and contact information on file for their child. You may also enroll to receive electronic notifications or update your contact preferences at any time by contacting your child's school.

You MUST "Opt In" to Receive Text Messages
To receive text messages through BrightArrow, you would have opted in when we started using BrightArrow in May 2020 or when you received your first message from the district.
If you are not receiving text messages, you may have missed seeing or disregarded the initial message asking you to opt in or have a new mobile phone number that is not on file with the district.
You must have your mobile phone number on file with your child's school to receive text messages. If you have a new mobile number, you will need to contact the school office at the number listed above to have the number updated in the student information system.
To begin receiving text messages through BrightArrow, you can opt in at any time by texting the word YES to the short code 87569. Once you opt in, BrightArrow will send you confirmation message.
All text messages sent from the district will come from the Short Code 87569 or 79041.
