Welcome to the Cornell School District
Cornell Families, Community Members, and Visitors:
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Cornell School District and to the 2026–2027 school year! Whether you are a current family, a community member, a prospective family, or simply interested in learning more about our district, we are glad you are visiting our website.
Cornell is fortunate to have an outstanding instructional and support staff whose members work tirelessly to provide our students with meaningful learning experiences, a safe and supportive environment, and opportunities to succeed both inside and outside the classroom. We are proud to serve the communities of Coraopolis and Neville Island and value the strong relationships that exist among our schools, families, and community partners.
Our district remains committed to providing programs that support students at every stage of their educational journey. Longstanding initiatives such as our six-week Summer PRIDE Program, Extended School Year program, and Kindergarten Bootcamp help students continue learning, strengthen important skills, and prepare for successful transitions.
While we take great pride in these established programs, we also recognize the importance of continuing to grow and seek new opportunities for our students. Partnerships with organizations such as the CNX Mentorship Academy and 12 Plus help students explore career pathways, identify their interests, gain real-world experience, and develop meaningful plans for life after graduation.
Through Project SEEKS and other district initiatives, Cornell continues to expand the behavioral, mental health, and social-emotional supports available to students. We also remain committed to strengthening family engagement through programs such as Parents as Allies, which creates opportunities for families and staff to work together in support of student success.
Most importantly, we are proud of our students and graduates. Their academic achievements, artistic talents, athletic accomplishments, community involvement, and determination serve as a continual source of pride and inspiration. At Cornell, we believe the future is bright for every student who walks through our doors. We are committed to recognizing individual strengths, expanding opportunities, and helping each student discover a personal pathway to success.
As you explore our website, we hope you will find helpful information about our schools, programs, services, activities, and upcoming events. If you are unable to locate the information you need, please contact one of our district or school offices directly. A member of our team will be happy to assist you or connect you with the appropriate person.
On behalf of the Cornell School District, thank you to our families, staff, community partners, and the residents of Neville Island and Coraopolis for your continued support. Together, we have created a caring school community centered on doing what is best for our students. We are proud of our past, energized by where we are today, and excited about what the future holds.
Thank you for visiting the Cornell School District website. We invite you to explore, stay connected, and learn more about the people, programs, and opportunities that make our district such a special place. We are Cornell!
